Being one of a kind is for me deeply embodied in the idea that every single one of us is truly unique and beautiful and perfect in his*her own one of a kind way.

At the same time reminding and encouraging us that every soul has to live his*her life in their very own unique way to follow and fulfill our dreams and goals as well as our life-soul purpose, our individual dharma.

Encouraging us to always be our own beautiful and true unique selves for which exists no copy, no clone, and to live our uniqueness proudly and present ourselves unafraidly to the world.

In all our beauty, strength, power, weirdness, (im)perfection, vulnerability, and rawness.

And although we are all one of a kind, individual selves, we are nevertheless at the same time a part of the big ONE:

forming a unity with all other beings and souls and all matter, be they animate or inanimate. We are all part of a friendship, a partnership, a family, a community, a soul tribe, the whole humanity, planet earth, or ultimately the entire universe.

And this is basically YOGA, meaning literally 'union' or 'to yoke'.

In my own one of a kind way, I decided to take first small steps to start following my heart's desire and wish to share my love and passion for the ancient science and teachings of yoga more actively with others, maybe with some of you :) .

By this hopefully contributing somehow in a small way to bringing more unity, more light, more love, kindness and compassion into this world which I feel is deeply needed.

And additionally to the above explained meaning which ONE OF A KIND embodies and carries for me, it also happens to be the title of a song by my beloved band PLACEBO. Both song and lyrics have accompanied, encouraged and comforted me in my life for more than a decade now and hold a deep emotional value for me ♡.

That said, embrace and love your beautiful ONE OF A KINDness and sing to yourself:

I am ONE.

I am, I am ONE.

I am, I am, I am, I am.
